Graphic Recording FAQs!
Over here we have gathered the most common questions we receive.
Whether you’re already keen to book your event, or just doing some curious research, these should help you along the way!
Remember, we’re just a message away, so feel free to get in touch if you'd like to dive deeper into any topic. We LOVE a good chat about all the possibilities of visual storytelling and your business.
-
We capture what you say, while you’re saying it! This makes your information more memorable, and increases the impact (and awesomeness) of your presentation.
A GR’s job is to listen, synthesise, simplify and organise information… and make it look great! It’s a bit of pressure, and a lot of fun.
PS: “GRAPHIC RECORDING” is also sometimes called Scribing, Graphic Facilitation, Visual Storytelling, Graphic Harvesting… it can get confusing, but it’s all the same thing: telling stories by combining visuals and words, in the moment, in front of an audience.
-
Translating the key points of your conversation in pictures is powerful, because most people are visual learners.
And let’s be honest, we’re all bored to death of PowerPoint! Watching someone take “live notes” is way more engaging, fun, and memorable than a written summary.
Your audience are more likely to share and talk about a graphic recording long after the event is over, increasing the impact of your event and creating future value!

We flexible and we can work in-person, or remotely. We’re also happy to travel around Australia and internationally.
-
That’s true… and it’s a GOOD thing!
We will never know as much as your team, but often it’s helpful to have a new set of ears come in and listen to the conversation. It’s easier for an outsider not get bogged-down in the weeds!

We work on a full-day rate (4 hours and over), and a short-day rate (under 4 hours). This applies to both in-person and virtual bookings.
We also offer a short-online rate for virtual sessions of 1.5 hours and less.

We want you to get the most value possible from our work together! Here are some ideas and examples of how other clients have used their artworks after the main event:
Share on socials (LinkedIn and Instagram).
Include in the post-event summary e-mailer.
Many groups have re-printed the graphics onto a large canvas to display in the office.
Teams have used elements of the artwork in Annual Reports and other internal documents.
Some clients have turned their graphics into mousepads, desktop and even Zoom backgrounds!
-
If this sounds good to you, contact us with your information and dates, and we’ll send you our Rates Card and confirm availability.
We will also send you a short questionnaire to help us understand more about what you are looking for.
We’ll set-up a 30 minute briefing call before your event, to gain a richer understanding of your project.
Together we’ll discuss what Success will look like… And then we’re all-systems GO!

In-Person Events: Your GR will arrive an hour before kick-off, to set up the desk and connect to the AV set-up.
Virtual Events: We’ll shedule a tech-check a day or two beforehand... On the day we will log into Zoom half-an-hour early, to be extra sure everything is streaming correctly.
